Swift

Meet Swift, racing name Swift Arson, who is just 2 1/2 years old (DOB 09/01/2024).  Swift ended his racing career with an injury which he is now fully recovered from (full details can be given to anyone who enquires about him). He is a stunning blue brindle , a tall elegant hound, he's sure to stand out in a crowd.

Swift is a slightly reserved boy, a little nervous when you first meet him but he soon comes round and then enjoys a fuss. He walks nicely on the lead and enjoys his walks but sometimes needs encouragement to get in the car. He would suit a quiet home possibly with another greyhound to show him the ropes. He is happy to be left for short periods as he loves his bed, this might change once he latches on to someone so he might be better with someone around most of the time or willing to build up the time he is left.

He will need a secure garden to play in possibly one that isn't too over looked. Although he seems fine with older children we don't think he'd enjoy a noisy household with a lot going on and would need a space of his own to escape to if he was overwhelmed. He is a lovely boy once you get to know him and he enjoys a run in the paddock.

So far he's been fine around other breeds of dog although he can be a little excited if they are running around off lead in front of him. He is not cat friendly and loves to chase squirrels!

I am sure in the right home and with a bit of patience Swift will blossom into a lovely pet for some lucky person or family. He just needs a bit of time to settle and lots of love.
