Eli

Meet Eli, racing name Geelo News, who is a very handsome, fawn boy. Eli is 5 1/2 years old, DOB 24/11/2020, and has been retired from racing for nearly a year having stayed at his trainers kennels through no fault of his own.  

Eli really does deserve his new home now, he is clean and quiet in his kennel. He enjoys his walks and playing with toys in our paddock, even bringing them back for you to play with him. Eli walks nicely on the lead and will mostly ignore other dogs if they are on the lead and leave him alone.  However he can become a bit keener if dogs are running about near him or start to bark or lunge at him.  He recently spent the day at our dog show with one of our volunteers and took everything in his stride. He travels well in the car and enjoys a day out.

Eli would be fine in a home on his own, he wasn't willing to share his racing kennel with a male greyhound but will happily walk with them but he does prefer the girls!  He can be a boisterous when playing or running with other dogs so might be best on his own. We do not think he could live with a small dog or a cat.

Eli is very friendly, he loves a fuss and will lean on you for more. He has good manners so should be ok with older children.
