Buddy - in foster
Buddy is currently in foster with a view to adopt if he gets on with the resident greyhound.
Meet Buddy, racing name Cheap as Chips , who is nearly 8 yrs old (DOB 04/08/2018). Buddy has recently joined us from a trainer where he’s been overlooked for homing for some years. He’s now got his chance to move on and we hope we can help him find his new home as soon as possible!
He’s a lovely, friendly boy. He’s not really interested in other dogs and is happy to walk past most breeds out on walks. He’s good on the lead, does like to walk out in front, but so far hasn’t bothered with squirrels etc. He loves food and with a little enticement will jump in the car.
Buddy loves his toys but isn’t always keen on giving them up, he will play tug but usually wins and you have to watch your fingers. He’s learning to take treats nicely but might be best with someone used to dogs and probably not with small children just because he can snatch at toys. He should be fine as an only dog and would reward you with lots of fuss. He’s ready to put his feet up so a soft cosy bed or sofa is a must.
He really does deserve a loving home now, it’s not his fault he’s waited so long.
We may move Buddy to South West Wales as they often have homes for older dogs with them or our Honiton branch, so if you would be interested in offering Buddy a home do get in touch as soon as possible to meet him.
