Marlow - an extra special boy!!

Meet Marlow, racing name Ballyard Milano, who is just 2 yrs old (DOB  06/08/19), as you can see he is a stunning black boy with beautiful white markings on his legs, chest and face. He has the most amazing ears!  Marlow has only raced a couple of times in Ireland before he was bought to the UK and he didn't race here at all. He is only a young lad and is bouncy and full of fun. He enjoys his walks and outings with us. He is happy around other greyhounds and likes to meet other breeds of dog, but he does like to keep his toys to himself.  We think he will make a great addition to any family with a bit of love and patience, he can be easily spooked and has a timid side to his nature. Marlow loves attention and would like someone around most of the day so he can make the most of fuss and  cuddles. He's is interested in everything and everyone he meets at the moment but due to his size he might be better with older children. He loves food and treats so the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach!

UPDATE - unfortunately Marlow has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition for which there is no cure. He will probably only live for another 2 or 3 years and will need medication for the rest of his life. He is currently happy and shows no symptoms, you wouldn't know there was anything wrong with him. However over time this will change and he may become progressively more poorly. We will support Marlow for as long as he needs us and will pay for all his medication. We would really like Marlow to enjoy himself and be able to enjoy some home comforts, so are now looking for a permanent foster home for him. It will be a special person or family that would be willing to accept him as he is and have access to a good vet who would be happy to work with us. Responsibility for Marlow's welfare will remain with the Greyhound Trust and anyone offering to foster him would have to be happy that we can keep an eye on him and visit on a regular basis.

Marlow is happy in private kennels at the moment and will stay where he is if we can't find a foster home for him. If you would like to help towards his veterinary costs please contact us or donate at one of our events.
